An adhesive tape comprising:

a backing comprising a plasticized polyvinyl chloride;
a primer layer disposed on at least one major surface of the backing, wherein the primer comprises an ethylene/carbon monoxide-containing terpolymer;
and
an adhesive layer disposed on the primer layer.
