## Abstract

A post-processing apparatus of an embodiment discharges a sheet determined that writing of information to a wireless tag provided in the sheet is successful to a first paper discharge portion, and discharges a sheet determined that writing of information to a wireless tag provided in the sheet fails to a second paper discharge portion different from the first paper discharge portion.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A post-processing apparatus comprising:
a memory that stores instructions;
a processor that executes the instructions stored in the memory;
a receiving portion configured to receive a sheet output by an image forming apparatus that writes information to a wireless tag provided on the sheet;
a determination portion configured to determine success or failure of writing of information to the wireless tag provided on the sheet received by the receiving portion; and
a first tray which stocks a sheet to be discharged;
a processing tray which stocks a sheet to perform post-processing;
a post-processing device configured to perform the post-processing on a sheet stocked in the processing tray;
a second tray which stocks a sheet bundle discharged from the processing tray after performing post-processing;
a paper discharge controller configured to discharge a sheet determined that writing of the information is successful by the determination portion to the first tray, and to discharge a sheet determined that writing of the information fails by the determination portion to the processing tray.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The apparatus according to claim 1,
wherein the paper discharge controller discharges a sheet on which an image is formed indicating that one or more discharged sheets are sheets determined that writing of the information fails the processing tray.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The apparatus according to claim 1,
wherein the post-processing device is a binder configured for binding sheets discharged to the second paper discharge portion.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The apparatus according to claim 1,
wherein the post-processing device is a punch configured for punching at least one hole into sheets discharged to the second paper discharge portion.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The apparatus according to claim 1,
wherein the image comprises written text indicating that the discharged sheet is determined that writing of the information fails.

### Claim 6

An image forming system comprising:
a printer forming portion configured to forms an image on a sheet to which a wireless tag is provided; and
a wireless tag unit comprising:
a first memory that stores instructions;
a first processor that executes the instructions stored in the memory; and
a determination portion configured to determine success or failure of writing of information to the wireless tag provided on the sheet;
a post-processing apparatus comprising:
a second memory that stores instructions;
a second processor that executes the instructions stored in the memory; and
a receiving portion configured to receive a sheet output from the printer forming portion,
a first tray which stocks a sheet to be discharged;
a processing tray which stocks a sheet to perform post-processing;
a post-processing device configured to perform the post-processing on a sheet stocked in the processing tray;
a second tray which stocks a sheet bundle discharged from the processing tray after performing post-processing;
a paper discharge controller configured to discharge the received sheet corresponding to the sheet determined that writing of the information is successful by the wireless tag unit to the first tray, and to discharge the received sheet corresponding to the sheet determined that writing of the information fails by the wireless tag unit to the processing tray.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The system according to claim 6,
wherein the post-processing device is a binder configured for binding sheets discharged to the second paper discharge portion.

### Claim 8 (depends on 6)

The system according to claim 6,
wherein the post-processing device is a punch configured for punching at least one hole into sheets discharged to the second paper discharge portion.

### Claim 9 (depends on 6)

The system according to claim 6,
wherein the wireless tag unit read tag data from the wireless tag in order to determines whether or not the writing of the information is successful from the read data.

### Claim 10 (depends on 6)

The system according to claim 6,
wherein the image comprises written text indicating that the discharged sheet is determined that writing of the information fails.

### Claim 11

A control method for a post-processing apparatus comprising:
receiving a sheet output by an image forming apparatus that writes information to a wireless tag provided on the sheet;
determining success or failure of writing of information to the wireless tag provided on the sheet received;
post-processing on the sheet stocked in a processing tray;
stocking a sheet bundle discharged from the processing tray after performing post-processing;
discharging a sheet determined that writing of the information is successful to a first tray, and discharging a sheet determined that writing of the information fails to the processing tray.
