## Abstract

A rotor for an electric machine. A laminated core with a plurality of short-circuit bars that pass through it and are joined at both ends by way of a respective short-circuit ring. A support disc, which is made of a material that has a higher strength than the material of the short-circuit ring, is axially arranged at each short-circuit ring.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A rotor for an electric machine, comprising:
a laminated core with a plurality of short-circuit bars that pass through it and are joined at both ends by way of a respective short-circuit ring, wherein in that a support disc, which is made of a material that has a higher strength than the material of the short-circuit ring, is axially arranged at each short-circuit ring.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The rotor according to claim 1, wherein the short-circuit bars and the short-circuit rings are cast.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The rotor according to claim 2, wherein each support disc is joined to the short-circuit ring by way of a welded joint.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The rotor according to claim 3, wherein the welded joint is produced by friction welding, friction stir welding, electron beam welding, or electromagnetic pulse joining.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The rotor according to claim 1, wherein each support disc is made of a material with a higher electrical conductivity than the material of the short-circuit ring.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The rotor according to claim 1, wherein each support disc is made of an aluminum or copper alloy.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The rotor according to claim 1, wherein each support disc has an inner diameter and an outer diameter, wherein at least the inner diameter corresponds to the inner diameter of the adjacent short-circuit ring and preferably also the outer diameter corresponds to the outer diameter of the adjacent short-circuit ring.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

A method for producing a rotor according to claim 1, comprising the following steps:
provision of a laminated core,
installation of the short-circuit bars and the short-circuit rings,
installation of the support discs axially on the short-circuit rings.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method according to claim 8, wherein the short-circuit bars and the short-circuit rings are produced by casting in a casting mold.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The method according to claim 8, wherein the support discs are joined to the short-circuit rings by welding.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The method according to claim 10, wherein the welding is conducted by friction welding, friction stir welding, electron beam welding, or electromagnetic pulse joining.

### Claim 12 (depends on 8)

The method according to claim 8, wherein the support discs made of an aluminum or copper alloy are used.
