## Abstract

A method includes receiving hierarchy data indicating a capability hierarchy associated with a customer network, the capability hierarchy indicating that a first capability is a sub-capability of a second capability. The method further includes receiving application data from a MID server of the customer network, the application data associated with an application utilized by the customer network for the first capability. The method further includes determining, based on the application data, an application score indicating an effectiveness level of the application for the first capability. The method further includes determining, based on the application score, a first capability score associated with the first capability. The method further includes determining, based on the first capability score and the capability hierarchy, a second capability score of the second capability, the second capability score indicating a health metric of the second capability within the customer network.

receiving, at the service platform customer instance, application data from a management, instrumentation, and discover (MID) server of the customer network, the application data associated with an application utilized by the customer network for the first capability;
determining, based on the application data, an application score indicating an effectiveness level of the application for the first capability;
determining, based on the application score, a first capability score associated with the first capability, the first capability score indicating a health metric of the first capability within the customer network; and
determining, based on the first capability score and the capability hierarchy, a second capability score of the second capability, the second capability score indicating a health metric of the second capability within the customer network.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising transmitting a graphical user interface (GUI) to a client device of the customer network, the customer network indicating the first capability score, the second capability score, the first capability, and the second capability.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, further comprising:
identifying a second application that has a second application score for the first capability; and
generating, in response to the second application score exceeding the application score, a recommendation to replace the application with the second application, wherein the GUI indicates the recommendation.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method of claim 3, further comprising determining the second application score based on second application data received from a second service platform customer instance.

### Claim 5 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the GUI further indicates a count of a plurality of sub-capabilities associated with the second capability, and wherein the second capability score is based on capability scores associated with the plurality of sub-capabilities.

### Claim 6 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the GUI further indicates a count of a plurality of applications utilized by the customer network for the second capability, the plurality of applications including each application utilized by the customer network to support each sub-capability of the second capability.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
receiving, at the service platform customer instance, life cycle data from the MID server, the life cycle data identifying a life cycle of the application utilized by the customer network for the first capability;
generating, based on the life cycle data, a first upgrade recommendation indicating a first upgrade priority associated with the application; and
sending the life cycle data to a second service platform customer instance associated with a second customer network that utilizes the application.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The method of claim 7, wherein the first upgrade recommendation is based further on the application score.

### Claim 9

A computer-readable storage device storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
receiving, at a service platform customer instance, hierarchy data indicating a capability hierarchy associated with a customer network, the capability hierarchy indicating that a first capability is a sub-capability of a second capability;
receiving, at the service platform customer instance, application data from a management, instrumentation, and discover (MID) server of the customer network, the application data associated with an application utilized by the customer network for the first capability;
determining, based on the application data, an application score indicating an effectiveness level of the application for the first capability;
determining, based on the application score, a first capability score associated with the first capability, the first capability score indicating a health metric of the first capability within the customer network; and
determining, based on the first capability score and the capability hierarchy, a second capability score of the second capability, the second capability score indicating a health metric of the second capability within the customer network.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The computer-readable storage device of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise initiating transmission of a graphical user interface (GUI) to a client device of the customer network, the customer network indicating the first capability score, the second capability score, the first capability, and the second capability.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The computer-readable storage device of claim 10, wherein the operations further comprise:
identifying a second application that has a second application score for the first capability; and
generating, in response to the second application score exceeding the application score, a recommendation to replace the application with the second application, wherein the GUI indicates the recommendation.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The computer-readable storage device of claim 11, wherein the operations further comprise determining the second application score based on second application data received from a second service platform customer instance.

### Claim 13 (depends on 10)

The computer-readable storage device of claim 10, wherein the GUI further indicates a count of a plurality of sub-capabilities associated with the second capability, and wherein the second capability score is based on capability scores associated with the plurality of sub-capabilities.

### Claim 14 (depends on 10)

The computer-readable storage device of claim 10, wherein the GUI further indicates a count of a plurality of applications utilized by the customer network for the second capability, the plurality of applications including each application utilized by the customer network to support each sub-capability of the second capability.
