Method and apparatus for mitigating interference in cpri uplink paths

A system, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
• obtaining uplink information associated with a downlink path, wherein the uplink information includes operational parameters used by a plurality of communication devices for transmitting wireless signals on a plurality of uplink paths;
• performing, based on the uplink information, a plurality of measurements of the plurality of uplink paths via a plurality of fiber optic cables from a plurality of remote radio units, wherein the plurality of uplink paths conform to a common public radio interface (CPRI) protocol;
• identifying a measurement from the plurality of measurements that is below a threshold, thereby indicating an affected uplink path of the plurality of uplink paths;
• and
• initiating a corrective action to improve the measurement of the affected uplink path based on the identifying.

A machine-readable storage medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:

• performing, based on uplink information, a plurality of measurements of a plurality of uplink paths received via a plurality of fiber optic cables from a plurality of remote radio units, wherein the plurality of uplink paths conform to a common public radio interface (CPRI) protocol, wherein the uplink information is associated with downlink instructions supplied to a plurality of communication devices to facilitate transmission of wireless signals on the plurality of uplink paths;
• identifying an affected uplink path of the plurality of uplink paths from a measurement from the plurality of measurements that is below a threshold;
• and
• responsive to the identifying, initiating a corrective action to improve communications over the affected uplink path.
