System and method for switching on wireless tool only when the location frequencies are detected

A system for managing power of a wireless tool, comprising:

• a wireless tool;
• and
• a processor configured to:
• analyze a mixed signal and determine a voltage;
• when the voltage is below a predetermined amount, set the wireless tool to a hibernation mode;
• and
• when the voltage is above the predetermined amount, set the wireless tool to an active mode and applying an algorithm to calculate the location and orientation of the wireless tool.

A computer software product, including a non-transitory computer readable storage medium in which computer program instructions are stored, which instructions, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform the steps of:

• acquiring a mixed signal emitted by a wireless tool and determining a voltage;
• when the voltage is below a predetermined amount, setting the wireless tool to a hibernation mode;
• and
• when the voltage is above the predetermined amount, setting the wireless tool to an active mode and applying an algorithm to calculate the location and orientation of the wireless tool.
