Abstract
A remote monitoring method includes the steps of: (c) receiving a control data for changing an image area captured by the smart phone from a communication channel, which transmits and receives data through an Internet, by the smart phone; (d) controlling a cradle through a short-range network using a pan/tilt control data for controlling one or more of pan and tilt of the cradle, on which the smart phone is mounted, using the received control data, by the smart phone; and (e) encoding an image captured through a provided camera module and outputting the encoded image through the Internet, after controlling the cradle, by the smart phone.
Claims11
A remote monitoring method using a smart phone, the method comprising the steps of:
- (c) receiving a control data for changing an image area captured by the smart phone from a communication channel, which transmits and receives data through an Internet, by the smart phone;
- (d) controlling a cradle through a short-range network using a pan/tilt control data for controlling one or more of pan and tilt of the cradle, on which the smart phone is mounted, using the received control data, by the smart phone;
- and
- (e) encoding an image captured through a provided camera module and outputting the encoded image through the Internet, after controlling the cradle, by the smart phone.
A remote monitoring system using a smart phone, the system comprising a smart phone mounted on a cradle, wherein the smart phone includes:
- a communication interface for transmitting and receiving communication packets of a communication channel, which can receive a control data for changing an image area captured by the smart phone, through an Internet;
- a processor for controlling the cradle through a short-range network using a pan/tilt control data for controlling one or more of pan and tilt of the cradle using the control data received through the communication interface;
- and
- a camera module for capturing an image under the control of the processor, wherein
- the processor encodes the image captured through the camera module after controlling the cradle and outputs the encoded image to a monitoring terminal through the communication interface.
A remote monitoring apparatus using a smart phone, the apparatus comprising:
- a cradle;
- and
- the smart phone mounted on the cradle, wherein
- the smart phone includes:
- a communication interface for transmitting and receiving communication packets of a communication channel, which can receive a control data for changing an image area captured by the smart phone, through an Internet;
- a processor for controlling the cradle through a short-range network using a pan/tilt control data for controlling one or more of pan and tilt of the cradle using the control data received through the communication interface;
- and
- a camera module for capturing an image under the control of the processor, wherein
- the processor encodes the image captured through the camera module after controlling the cradle and outputs the encoded image to a monitoring terminal through the communication interface.
