Abstract
Systems and methods that facilitate enhancing the energy storage capabilities of MnO2 in nanowire energy storage devices such as nanowire-based capacitors or batteries.
Claims16
A method for preparing arrays of δ-MnO2 based core@shell nanowires, the method comprising:
- electrodepositing a core metal to forming an array of nanowire cores;
- and
- electrodepositing HMTA-doped δ-MnO2 onto the array of nanowire cores forming an array of core metal@δ-MnO2, core@shell nanowires.
A method for preparing arrays of δ-MnO2 based nanowires, the method comprising:
- depositing a photoresist layer onto a substrate;
- patterning the photoresist layer;
- and
- electrodepositing HMTA-doped δ-MnO2 onto the patterned photoresist layer to produce an array of δ-MnO2 based nanowires.
1 more element
An energy storage device comprising:
- first and second contacts;
- and
- an array of nanowires extending between the first and second contacts, wherein individual nanowires of the array of nanowires include HMTA-doped δ-MnO2.
