Abstract
The device has a support segment for supporting a workpiece, in particular a flat workpiece, and a carrier segment, in particular a cantilever, a gantry, or an articulated-arm robot, which carrier segment holds a working unit. According to a preferred embodiment, the carrier segment can extend at least partially over the support segment. The working unit, in turn, comprises a feeding unit for feeding a forming material and an attachment segment for a die. According to the invention, the die can be placed against a workpiece and comprises a cavity for forming a component.
Claims15
A device (1) for processing workpieces (W), in particular for processing workpieces made of wood, wood materials or the like, comprising:
- a support segment (10) for holding a workpiece (W),
- a carrier segment (20), in particular a cantilever, a gantry or an articulated-arm robot, which carrier segment (20) holds a working unit (30),
- the working unit (30) holding a die (35, 35′, 35″) which can be placed against a workpiece and comprising a feeding unit (31) for feeding a forming material into an inlet opening (36, 36′, 36″) of the die (35, 35′, 35″), which die (35, 35′, 35″) has a cavity (37, 37′, 37″) for forming a component (B) and a discharge opening (38, 38′, 38″).
The device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the machining device (1) comprises a storage unit (40) for holding a number of dies (35′), which storage unit is preferably provided adjacent to the support segment (10).
The device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the working unit (30) can be moved in the vertical direction.
The device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the working unit (30) comprises a sensor device, in particular a force and/or pressure sensor, in order to detect an arrangement of the die provided on the working unit (30) with respect to a workpiece (W), and/or the die (35, 35′, 35″) can be moved resiliently.
The device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support segment (10) is a conveying device, in particular a roller conveyor, a belt conveyor, a chain conveyor or a band conveyer, in order to move a workpiece (W),
- and/or
- the carrier segment (20) is moveable, in particular can travel, along the support segment (10).
The device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the die (35, 35′) has two die halves (35a, 35b) that can be moved, in particular pivoted and/or shifted, relative to one another.
The device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the feeding unit (31) has a heated segment, for example a heated hose, for feeding a forming material.
The device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the die has in the region of the discharge opening (38, 38′, 38″) an annular projection or an elastic ring which can be introduced into a depression, in particular a bore hole, in a workpiece or can be placed around a depression, in particular a bore hole, in a workpiece, or the discharge opening (38, 38′, 38″) is provided with a bevel.
The device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the working unit (30) can be pivoted about at least one axis, preferably about two or more axes, and/or the die (35, 35′, 35″) can be pivoted about at least one axis, preferably about two or more axes.
The device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the die (35, 35′, 35″) has a cooling device.
A method for processing preferably flat workpieces (W), in particular for processing workpieces made of wood, wood materials or the like, preferably using a device according to any of the preceding claims, comprising the steps:
- providing a workpiece (W),
- placing a die (35, 35′, 35″) against the workpiece (W), which die (35, 35′, 35″) comprises a cavity (37, 37′, 37″) for forming a component (B) and a discharge opening (38, 38′), introducing, in particular pushing in, a forming material into the die (35, 35′, 35″) in order to form a component on the workpiece (W).
