Modular humeral head

An articular component, comprising

• an articular body comprising an articular surface;
• and
• a bone anchor comprising a distal end configured to be lodged in a bone and a proximal face;
• a coupling portion comprising a continuous zone of eccentricity adjustment and at least one additional position site disposed between the articular surface and the distal end of the bone anchor;
• a coupler comprising a first portion configured to mate with the coupling portion and a second portion opposite the first portion, the second portion configured to couple, directly or indirectly, the articular body with the bone anchor.

A method of assembling an articular component of a prosthetic shoulder joint, the method comprising:

• engaging an end of a coupler of a joint implant with a coupling portion of another component of the joint implant;
• providing relative rotation between the end of the coupler and the coupling portion of the other component of the joint implant along a continuous range of rotational positions while the end is engaged with the coupling portion of the other component of the joint implant;
• selecting an amount of eccentricity corresponding to a position within the continuous range of rotational position;
• and
• securing the other component of the joint implant to the end of the coupler at the selected amount of eccentricity.
