Abstract
An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recoding medium based on document data includes a memory that stores a program and a processor that executes the program stored in the memory to perform a process. The process includes determining an occurrence of an error made by the image forming apparatus or a user of the image forming apparatus, determining whether the document data is confidential, deciding on one or more actions to be performed based on the error and whether the document data is confidential, and implementing the decided one or more actions.

An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recoding medium based on document data, the image forming apparatus comprising:
- a memory that stores a program;
- and
- a processor that executes the program stored in the memory to perform a process including
- determining an occurrence of an error made by the image forming apparatus or a user of the image forming apparatus,
- determining whether the document data is confidential,
- deciding on one or more actions to be performed based on the error and whether the document data is confidential, and
- implementing the decided one or more actions.
A method performed by an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording medium based on document data, the method comprising:
- determining an occurrence of an error made by the image forming apparatus or a user of the image forming apparatus;
- determining whether the document data is confidential;
- deciding on one or more actions to be performed based on the error and whether the document data is confidential;
- and
- implementing the decided one or more actions.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program that causes an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording medium based on document data to execute a process, the process comprising:
- determining an occurrence of an error made by the image forming apparatus or a user of the image forming apparatus;
- determining whether the document data is confidential;
- deciding on one or more actions to be performed based on the error and whether the document data is confidential;
- and
- implementing the decided one or more actions.
