A method of detecting reactivities of antibodies associated with the presence or absence of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in a subject, the method comprising the steps of:
- (i) obtaining a sample from the subject;
- (ii) exposing antibodies in the sample to at least four antigens selected from the group consisting of:
- ssDNA, Sm, DNAse I, Histone III-S, Ro52, U1 snRNP, Collagen III, Apo-SAA, H2a and Oligo21 to detect the reactivity pattern of the sample to the plurality of antigens;
- and
- (iii) comparing the reactivity of antibodies in the sample to a reactivity of a healthy control by a supervised classification algorithm, to detect whether the reactivity pattern of the antibodies in the sample is significantly different than the reactivity pattern of the antibodies in the healthy control.
2 more elements
An antigen probe set comprising the antigen probes:
- ssDNA, Sm, DNAse I, Histone III-S, Ro52, U1 snRNP, Collagen III, Apo-SAA, H2a and Oligo21.
