Abstract
An image processing method is provided for acquiring additional information from image information obtained by shooting a printed product on which the additional information is multiplexed by at least one of a plurality of different multiplexing methods, the method comprising: attempting decoding of the additional information from the image information by a plurality of different decoding methods corresponding to the plurality of different multiplexing methods; and outputting, by a unit, the additional information successfully decoded.

An information processing apparatus, comprising:
- an imaging unit configured to obtain image data containing an image in which additional information is multiplexed by imaging the image;
- an obtaining unit configured to obtain the multiplexed additional information from the image data obtained by the imaging unit;
- a data obtaining unit configured to obtain special data for the image data, based on the additional information obtained by the obtaining unit, from an external apparatus via a network;
- and
- a display control unit configured to display the special data obtained by the data obtaining unit and the image data.
A method which is performed by an information processing apparatus, comprising:
- obtaining image data containing an image in which additional information is multiplexed by imaging the image;
- obtaining the multiplexed additional information from the obtained image data;
- obtaining special data for the image data, based on the obtained additional information, from an external apparatus via a network;
- and
- displaying the special data obtained and the image data.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium in which a program is stored, the program causing a computer to perform a method when executed by the computer, the method comprising:
- obtaining image data containing an image in which additional information is multiplexed by imaging the image;
- obtaining the multiplexed additional information from the obtained image data;
- obtaining special data for the image data, based on the obtained additional information, from an external apparatus via a network;
- and
- displaying the special data obtained and the image data.
