Abstract
The present invention relates to: a sealing gel having a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4 @ 100° C.) in the range from 100 MU to 170 MU, a sealing compound comprising inventive sealing gel, a process for producing this sealing compound, the use of sealing gels for improving viscoelastic properties in sealing compounds, and the use of sealing gel-containing sealing compounds for improving rolling resistance properties in tyres having sealing layers.
Claims20
A sealing gel having a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4) @ 100° C. of 100 MU to 170 MU, wherein the gel comprises at least one of:
- i) a mixture comprising:
- diene rubber gel (A), having a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4) @ 100° C. of 170 MU to 195 MU, obtained by emulsion polymerization, of at least one conjugated diene in the presence of at least one crosslinker (I), and
- diene rubber gel (B), having a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4) @ 100° C. of 75 MU to 110 MU, obtained by emulsion polymerization, of at least one conjugated diene in the presence of at least one crosslinker (II);
- and
- ii) a gel (H) obtained by emulsion polymerization, of at least one conjugated diene in the presence of at least one crosslinker (I) and in the presence of at least one crosslinker (II),
- where:
- crosslinkers (I) comprise acrylates and methacrylates of polyhydric, C2-C20 alcohols, or mixtures thereof, and
- crosslinkers (II) comprise compounds having two or more vinyl, allyl or isopropenyl groups, or one maleimide unit, or mixtures thereof.
