Abstract
In a wireless network, a primary synchronization signal and a secondary synchronization signal are sent at a predetermined bandwidth in a transmission. The predetermined bandwidth is a lowest operating bandwidth of the wireless network. Data its also sent in the transmission using an operating bandwidth greater than the lowest operating bandwidth.

A wireless network device comprising:
- circuitry configured to send a primary synchronization signal at a predetermined bandwidth of a wireless network and a secondary synchronization signal at the predetermined bandwidth in a transmission, wherein the predetermined bandwidth is a lowest operating bandwidth of a plurality of operating bandwidths of the wireless network;
- and
- wherein the circuitry is further configured to send data in the transmission using an operating bandwidth of the wireless network and the operating bandwidth is greater than the lowest operating bandwidth of the wireless network.
