Abstract
An in vitro assay for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, preferably an immunoassay, is based on the determination of anti-ezrin auto-antibodies in a biological sample from a subject suspected of being affected by pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma or from a subject whose predisposition to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma one desires a determination.

A method for in vitro diagnosis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma in a subject or for determining the predisposition of a subject to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, comprising:
- determining in a biological sample from the subject, a presence, an absence or a level of antibodies against ezrin, wherein the presence of antibodies against ezrin or the level of antibodies against ezrin above a predetermined threshold is indicative of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma or of a predisposition to pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
