Abstract
An electronic game board wherein the board comprises a plurality of sensors and indicators such that two or more players may play the same game with each other using two or more different game boards that may communicate with each other either directly or through a server. The game board comprises a memory, antenna, and microprocessor associated with the sensors and indicators so that the game board may determine, store, and display a game state based-in-part on data obtained from the game board itself and either another game board or an artificially intelligent player operating in response the present game board.
Claims20
An electronic game board comprising:
- a. one or more sensors for monitoring a state of a first game board, wherein each of the one or more sensors is associated with one of a plurality of locations on the first game board and the one or more sensors detect one or more first game pieces placed on one or more of the plurality of locations on the first board;
- b. a controller;
- c. a wireless antenna associated with a wireless device or a game server configured to receive the state of the first game board and a state of a second game board remote from the first game board, wherein the state of the second game board corresponds to locations of one or more second game pieces placed on one or more locations of the second game board;
- d. one or more first set of indicators for communicating or displaying the state of a second game board on the first game board;
- and
- e. one or more second set of indicators for communicating or displaying the state of the first game board on the second game board.
A method of monitoring an electronic game board comprising the steps of:
- a. sensing a state of one or more locations on a first game board with one or more sensors and sensing a state of one or more locations on a second game board with one or more sensors;
- b. communicating the states of the first and second game board to a controller having a memory;
- c. communicating the states of the one or more locations on the first game board to the second game board, and communicating the states of the one or more locations on the second game board to the first game board;
- d. displaying the state of the second game board to a first user using a first indicator on the first game board, and displaying the state of the first game board to a second user using a second indicator on the second game board;
- and
- e. receiving second states of the one or more locations on the first and second game boards.
(canceled)
An electronic game board comprising:
- a. a first sensor array operable to monitor at least one game piece on a first game board, and a second sensor array operable to monitor at least one game piece on a second game board;
- b. a processor associated with the first and second sensor arrays and operable to determine a given game state of the first and second game boards and store the game states in a memory;
- c. a wireless antenna associated with a wireless device or a game server configured to receive the given game states of the first and second game boards;
- and
- d. at least one indicator associated with the processor and operable to display the state of the second game board on the first game board, and operable to display the state of the first game board on the second game board.
