Abstract
It is disclosed a cable assembly comprising a common figure-8 outer jacket comprising a first lobe and a second lobe, wherein the first lobe surrounds an electric core with a relevant first extruded inner sheath housing a strength member; and the second lobe surrounds an optical core with a relevant second extruded inner sheath.

A cable assembly (100) comprising:
- a common figure-8 outer jacket (30) comprising a first lobe (10) and a second lobe (20),
- an electric core (11), a strength member (14) and a first extruded inner sheath (15) housing said electric core (11) and said strength member (14), wherein the first lobe (10) surrounds the first extruded inner sheath (15);
- and
- an optical core (21) and a second extruded inner sheath (25) housing said optical core (21), wherein the second lobe (20) surrounds the second extruded inner sheath (25).
