Method and system for discharging swarf from a conveyor

A conveyor assembly for removing material, the assembly comprising:

• a lower conveyor assembly including a support structure and a lower continuous belt arranged on a first pulley system wherein one of the pulleys includes a first sprocket, the first pulley system supporting the lower belt with at least a portion that is substantially flat;
• an upper conveyor assembly including a support structure and an upper continuous belt arranged on a second pulley system wherein one of the pulleys includes a second sprocket, the second pulley system supporting the upper belt with at least a portion that is substantially flat and spaced apart from the flat portion of the lower belt;
• a single motor supported adjacent the first and second belts and including a motor sprocket;
• a drive chain mounted to the first, second and motor sprockets so that as the motor rotates the motor sprocket, the drive chain simultaneously drives the first and second sprockets to dive the first and second belts;
• a first sprocket adjustment mechanism for adjusting the position of the first sprocket relative to the motor sprocket;
• and
• a second sprocket adjustment mechanism for adjusting the position of the second sprocket relative to the motor sprocket.
