Abstract
A camera for observing an inside of a shielded cell including a support including a spring in a form of a gripper for mounting it on a remote-manipulation arm performing a task to be observed, by another arm, exerting solely a force for opening branches of the spring, after which the camera is properly held, while being able to be removed without difficulty. A stop mechanism provides a correct angular position of the camera while preventing its support from turning about the arm, and thus making it possible to position it correctly by another remote-manipulation mechanism.

- A portable camera device to be mounted on a remote-manipulator arm, comprising:
- a camera and a support for the camera, the support and the arm comprising complementary means for fitting together and braking,
- wherein the complementary means comprises a fixing spring in a form of a gripper and, distributed on the support and the arm, either an abutment of a face of the support opposite to the camera on a face of the arm providing a reference orientation of the device, or a cylindrical machining and a rod housed in a machining.

- A portable camera device according to claim 9, further comprising a wire for transmission between the camera and a place external to a place of work of the camera, and the wire comprises a length secured to the portable camera device, a length secured to the remote-manipulator arm, and a detachable coupling between the lengths of the wire.

- A portable camera device according to claim 9, wherein the spring comprises two curved branches, comprising concavities directed towards each other, free ends diverging while forming an angle, and a strut disposed between the branches.

- A portable camera device according to claim 9, wherein the support comprises a fixed part to which the complementary means included on the support belong, and a movable part, connected to the fixed part by an articulation and a brake, to which the camera is fixed.

- A portable camera device according to claim 12, wherein the brake comprises a ball screw.

- A portable camera device according to claim 9, further comprising, mounted on the support adjacent to the camera, a lighting means directed in a same direction as the camera.

- A portable camera device according to claim 9, further comprising, mounted on the support adjacent to the camera, a radioactivity sensor.

- A portable camera device according to claim 9, wherein the camera is chosen from optical cameras, charge-transfer cameras, or ionising particle detection cameras, producing two-dimensional or three-dimensional images.
