Abstract
The present invention provides recombinant herpesvirus of turkeys (HVT) vectors that contain and express antigens of avian pathogens, compositions comprising the recombinant HVT vectors and polyvalent vaccines comprising the recombinant HVT vectors. The present invention further provides methods of vaccination against a variety of avian pathogens and method of producing the recombinant HVT vectors.
Claims27
A composition or vaccine comprising one or more recombinant herpesvirus of turkeys (HVT) vectors comprising at least one or more heterologous polynucleotides encoding at least one antigen of an avian pathogen.
A recombinant HVT vector comprising:
- 1) two heterologous polynucleotides encoding two antigens of an avian pathogen, wherein the first polynucleotide comprises a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of an Infectious Bursal Disease Virus (IBDV) VP2 antigen, an Infectious Laryngotracheitis Virus (ILTV) glycoprotein D (gD) antigen and a Newcastle Disease Virus F (NDV-F) antigen, and wherein the second polynucleotide comprises a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of an Infectious Bursal Disease Virus (IBDV) VP2 antigen, an Infectious Laryngotracheitis Virus (ILTV) glycoprotein D (gD) antigen and a Newcastle Disease Virus F (NDV-F) antigen;
- or
- 2) a heterologous polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of an Infectious Bursal Disease Virus (IBDV) VP2 antigen, an Infectious Laryngotracheitis Virus (ILTV) glycoprotein D (gD) antigen and a Newcastle Disease Virus F (NDV-F) antigen.
