A photocatalytic composition comprising:
- a photocatalyst;
- and
- an adsorbent material.
A method for making a photocatalytic layer, comprising:
- creating a dispersion comprising a photocatalyst, CeO2, and a dispersing media, molar ratio of the photocatalyst to CeO2 to adsorbent being between 20-50 molar % photocatalyst and 20-50 molar % CeO2 and 5-60 molar % adsorbent material;
- applying the dispersion to a substrate;
- and
- heating the dispersion and the substrate at a sufficient temperature and length of time to evaporate substantially all the dispersing media from the dispersion.
