Abstract
Suggested is a method for transmitting a broadcast signal. A method for transmitting a broadcast signal according to the present invention suggests a system which can support a next-generation broadcasting service in an environment that supports a next-generation hybrid broadcast using a terrestrial broadcast network and an Internet network. In addition, suggested is an effective signaling method which is capable of encompassing a terrestrial broadcast network and an Internet network in an environment that supports a next-generation hybrid broadcast.

A broadcast transmitting device comprising:
- a controller to generate a Media Presentation Description (MPD) for a Dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (DASH) protocol;
- and
- a transmission unit to transmit the MPD and DASH segments including media data,
- wherein the MPD includes an attribute providing a uniform resource identifier (URI) identifying a scheme (schemeIdUri) for signaling a disparity range of a stereoscopic 3D video in the media data, and
- wherein the MPD further includes a minimum disparity value and a maximum disparity value which are separated by a comma.
A broadcast transmission method comprising:
- generating a Media Presentation Description (MPD) for a Dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (DASH) protocol;
- and
- transmitting the MPD and DASH segments including media data,
- wherein the MPD includes an attribute providing a uniform resource identifier (URI) identifying a scheme (schemeIdUri) for signaling a disparity range of a stereoscopic 3D video in the media data, and
- wherein the MPD further includes a minimum disparity value and a maximum disparity value which are separated by a comma.
A broadcast receiving device comprising:
- a tuner to receive a Media Presentation Description (MPD) and Dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (DASH) segments including media data;
- and
- a MPD parser to parse the received MPD,
- wherein the MPD includes an attribute providing a uniform resource identifier (URI) identifying a scheme (schemeIdUri) for signaling a disparity range of a stereoscopic 3D video in the media data, and
- wherein the MPD further includes a minimum disparity value and a maximum disparity value which are separated by a comma.
A broadcast receiving method comprising:
- receiving a Media Presentation Description (MPD) and Dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (DASH) segments including media data;
- and
- parsing the received MPD,
- wherein the MPD includes an attribute providing a uniform resource identifier (URI) identifying a scheme (schemeIdUri) for signaling a disparity range of a stereoscopic 3D video in the media data, and
- wherein the MPD further includes a minimum disparity value and a maximum disparity value which are separated by a comma.
