Abstract
A light-sensing device includes a pixel array. Multiple pixels in the pixel array each includes pixel electronics. The pixel electronics include low light level electronics in communication with a light sensor and high light level electronics in communication with the same light sensor. The pixel electronics acquire data from the light sensor. During the data acquisition, the pixel electronics can transition between using the high light level electronics to acquire the data and using the low light level electronics to acquire the data.
Claims20
A light-sensing device, comprising:
- a pixel array that includes a pixel having pixel electronics that include low light level electronics in communication with a light sensor and high light level electronics in communication with the light sensor,
- the pixel electronics acquiring data from the light sensor, and
- the pixel electronics transition from between using the low light level electronics to acquire the data and using the high light level electronics to acquire the data.
A method of operating a light-sensing device, comprising:
- acquiring data from a light sensor, the light sensor being included in pixel electronics for a pixel that is included in a pixel array, the pixel electronics including low light level electronics in communication with a light sensor and high light level electronics in communication with the light sensor, and
- acquiring the data includes transitioning between using the high light level electronics to acquire the data and using the low light level electronics to acquire the data.
