Abstract
Examples disclosed herein involve measuring application performance based on user engagement of the application. In examples herein, an activation of an action item may be detected and a degree of user engagement of the application in response to the activation of the action item may be determined. A threshold time for acceptable performance of the action item is adjusted based on the degree of user engagement.
Claims20
A method for measuring performance of an action item of an application, the method comprising:
- detecting an activation of the action item of the application;
- measuring a degree of user engagement of the application in response to the activation of the action item;
- and
- adjusting a threshold time for acceptable performance for the action item based on the degree of user engagement.
A non-transitory machine readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause a machine to at least:
- detect activation of an action item of an application;
- determine a degree of user engagement of the application in response to the activation of the action item based on a user action time or an amount of transaction data of the action item;
- and
- adjust a threshold time for acceptable performance of the action item based on the degree of user engagement.
An apparatus comprising:
- an action detector to detect the activation of an action item of an application;
- a user engagement estimator to estimate a degree of user engagement of the application in response to the activation of the action item, the degree of user engagement based on a user action time after the activation and an amount of data received or retrieved in response to the activation;
- and
- a threshold adjuster to adjust a threshold time for acceptable performance of the action item based on the degree of user engagement.
