Abstract
A contents sharing network is provided. An operating method of a control device includes determining a current state of possible states in a contents sharing process over a network; and displaying an icon indicating the current state among a plurality of predefined icons. The states are defined as a combination of at least one item of network connection, device discovery, a type of the discovered device, the number of the discovered devices, and existence of an available additional service.
Claims20
An electronic device comprising:
- a display;
- a communication circuit;
- a memory configured to store instructions;
- and
- at least one processor, that upon executing the stored instructions, configured to:
- in response to a request for sharing a content, cause the communication circuit to attempt to connect to a home network via the communication circuit;
- in response to a failure of the connection, cause the display to display first visual information indicating the failure;
- in response to a success of the connection, cause the communication circuit to search for at least one other device connected to the home network;
- and
- in response to a result of the search, cause the display to display second visual information indicating whether the at least one other device connected to the home network exists.
A method for an operation of an electronic device, the method comprising:
- in response to a request for sharing a content, attempting to connect to a home network via a communication circuit;
- in response to a failure of the connection, displaying first visual information indicating the failure on a display;
- in response to a success of the connection, searching for at least one other device connected to the home network;
- and
- in response to a result of the search, displaying second visual information indicating whether the at least one other device connected to the home network exists on the display.
A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon at least one program comprising instructions, which when executed by a computer, performs a method, the method comprising:
- in response to a request for sharing a content, attempting to connect to a home network via a communication circuit;
- in response to a failure of the connection, displaying first visual information indicating the failure on a display;
- in response to a success of the connection, searching for at least one other device connected to the home network;
- and
- in response to a result of the search, displaying second visual information indicating whether the at least one other device connected to the home network exists on the display.
