A detector apparatus, comprising:
- at least one x-ray detector including a network-capable network unit;
- and
- a switching unit, connected to the network unit of the x-ray detector.
A method for operating a detector apparatus, the method comprising:
- a. detecting x-ray radiation via an x-ray detector, including a network-capable network unit, and acquiring data;
- and
- b. transferring the acquired data from the network unit to a switching unit, via a network protocol.
