An antenna structure for use on a surface of an aircraft, comprising:
- a radome;
- a plurality of antenna radiating elements integrated in and enclosed by the radome;
- and
- at least one printed circuit board (PCB) with integrated circuits (ICs) to drive the antenna radiating elements.
