Abstract
An imaging element has a laminated structure including a first electrode, a light-receiving layer formed on the first electrode, and a second electrode formed on the light-receiving layer. The second electrode is made of a transparent amorphous oxide having a conductive property.

An imaging element comprising:
- a laminated structure, including:
- a first electrode;
- a light-receiving layer formed on the first electrode;
- and
- a second electrode formed on the light-receiving layer, wherein the second electrode is made of a transparent amorphous oxide having a conductive property, wherein the second electrode is made of a material formed by adding or doping at least one kind of material selected from the group consisting of aluminum, gallium, tin, and indium to one kind of material selected from the group consisting of indium oxide, tin oxide, and zinc oxide.
