Abstract
A digital medium environment is described to improve creation and rasterization of a shape through pixel alignment. In one example, a pixel alignment system is implemented at least partially in hardware of a computing device. The pixel alignment system receives an input that specifies a geometry, a stroke setting, and a location that serves as a basis to position the shape. The pixel alignment system then snaps the location as specified by the at least one input to a snapped location based on a pixel grid. The snapped location based on the geometry, the stroke setting, and the location as specified by the input. A rasterization module is then employed to rasterize the shape as pixels based on the snapped location.

In a digital medium environment to improve shape rasterization through pixel alignment, a system comprising:
- a pixel alignment system implemented at least partially in hardware of a computing device to:
- receive at least one input specifying a geometry, a style setting, and a location that serves as a basis to position the shape in a user interface;
- and
- snap the location as specified by the at least one input to a snapped location in the user interface based on a pixel grid, the snapped location based on the geometry, the style setting, and the location;
- and
- a rasterization module implemented at least partially in hardware of the computing device to rasterize the shape as pixels based on the snapped location.
At least one computer-readable storage media having instructions stored thereon that, responsive to execution by a computing device, causes the computing device to perform operations comprising:
- receiving at least one input specifying a geometry, a style setting, and a location that serves as a basis to position the shape;
- snapping the input location to a snapped location based on a pixel grid, the snapped location based on the geometry, the style setting, and the input location;
- and
- rasterizing the shape as pixels based on the snapped location.
In a digital medium environment to improve rendering of a shape in a user interface through pixel alignment, a system comprising:
- means for specifying a geometry, a style setting, and a location that serves as a basis to position the shape;
- means for snapping the location to a snapped location in the user interface based on a pixel grid, the snapped location based on the geometry, the style setting, and the location;
- and
- means for rasterizing the shape in the user interface based on the snapped location.
