Abstract
A system for spreadsheet region and cell sharing permissions includes an interface and a processor. An interface is to receive a request to display a subset of a spreadsheet document. A processor is to: determine whether to enable display access to the subset of the spreadsheet document based at least in part on a set of user access descriptors; in the event that display access is enabled, provide data associated with the subset of the spreadsheet document for display; and in the event that display access is not enabled, provide an indication of access denial for display.

A system for spreadsheet region and cell sharing permissions comprising:
- an interface to:
- receive a request to display a subset of a spreadsheet document, wherein a formula included in the subset references a canonical name;
- and
- a processor to:
- determine whether to enable display access to the subset of the spreadsheet document based at least in part on a set of user access descriptors;
- in response to a determination that display access is enabled, provide data associated with the subset of the spreadsheet document for display;
- and
- in response to a determination that display access is not enabled, provide an indication of access denial for display.
A method for spreadsheet region and cell sharing permissions comprising:
- receiving a request to display a subset of a spreadsheet document, wherein a formula included in the subset references a canonical name;
- determining, using a processor, whether to enable display access to the subset of the spreadsheet document based at least in part on a set of user access descriptors;
- in response to a determination that display access is enabled, providing data associated with the subset of the spreadsheet document for display;
- and
- in response to a determination that display access is not enabled, providing an indication of access denial for display.
A computer program product for spreadsheet region and cell sharing permissions, the computer program product being embodied in a non-transitory computer readable storage medium and comprising computer instructions for:
- receiving a request to display a subset of a spreadsheet document, wherein a formula included in the subset references a canonical name;
- determining, using a processor, whether to enable display access to the subset of the spreadsheet document based at least in part on a set of user access descriptors;
- in response to a determination that display access is enabled, providing data associated with the subset of the spreadsheet document for display;
- and
- in response to a determination that display access is not enabled, providing an indication of access denial for display.
