Abstract
The present disclosure relates to accessing data using application programming interface (API) calls. According to one embodiment, a method generally includes receiving, at the API, a request from a client device, where the requesting a data operation. Determining context data associated with the request. Receiving an entity schema based on the context data, where the entity schema includes a metamodel. Processing the request using the entity schema and metamodel, generating a response including the entity schema, and returning the response to the client device.
Claims20
A method for providing data services through an application programming interface (API) comprising:
- receiving, at the API service, a request from a client device, the request comprising a data operation;
- determining context data associated with the request;
- receiving an entity schema based on the context data, wherein the entity schema includes a metamodel;
- processing the request using the entity schema;
- generating a response including the entity schema;
- returning the response to the client device.
A system, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- memory storing instructions which, when executed on the processor, provide data services through an application programming interface (API), the operation comprising:
- receiving, at the API, a request from a client device, the request comprising a data operation;
- determining context data associated with the request;
- receiving an entity schema based on the context data, wherein the entity schema includes a metamodel;
- processing the request using the entity schema;
- generating a response including the entity schema;
- returning the response to the client device.
A computer-readable medium comprising instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, performs an operation for providing data services through an application programming interface (API), the operation comprising:
- receiving, at the API, a request from a client device, the request comprising a data operation;
- determining context data associated with the request;
- receiving an entity schema based on the context data, wherein the entity schema includes a metamodel;
- processing the request using the entity schema;
- generating a response including the entity schema;
- returning the response to the client device.
