Wireless communication system, information output device, and merchandise sales information processing device

A printer that communicates with a point-of-sale (POS) device, the device comprising:

• a processor configured to generate a communication setting pattern based on the communication address and the predetermined communication frequency, and
• a wireless communication unit configured to perform wireless communication at a predetermined communication frequency;
• a memory that stores a communication address by which the POS device can wirelessly communicate with the printer;
• and
• a processor configured to generate a communication setting pattern by encoding the communication address and the predetermined communication channel.

A point-of-sale (POS) device that communicates with a printer which encodes a communication frequency and a communication address by which the POS device can wirelessly communicate with the printer and outputs the encoded information as a communication setting pattern, the POS device comprising:

• a reader;
• a wireless communication unit;
• and
• a processor configured to decode the communication address and the communication frequency from the communication setting pattern after the reader acquires the communication setting pattern, and control the wireless communication unit to transmit a confirmation response to the communication address at the communication frequency.
