Abstract
A barrier coating composition may include an alcohol-based binder; and an inorganic particulate, wherein mineral oil transmission through the barrier coating is such that the reduction in measured IR intensity at 2920 cm−1 is less than 1.0%, as determined by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy.

A barrier coating composition, comprising:
- an alcohol-based binder;
- and
- an inorganic particulate, wherein mineral oil transmission through the barrier coating is such that the reduction in measured IR intensity at 2920 cm−1 is less than 1.0%, as determined by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy.
A barrier coating composition, comprising:
- an alcohol-based binder;
- and
- an inorganic particulate, wherein mineral oil transmission through the barrier coating is such that the reduction in measured IR intensity at 2920 cm−1 is less than 20.0%, as determined by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy.
A barrier coating composition, comprising:
- an alcohol-based binder;
- and
- an inorganic particulate, wherein mineral oil transmission through the barrier coating is such that the reduction in measured IR intensity at 2920 cm−1 is less than 10.0%, as determined by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy.
