Abstract
Methods and systems for routing calls include determining location information identifying a location of a caller. A destination for a call from the caller is determined based on the location information and a geographic service area of the destination. The call is routed to the destination.

A method for routing calls, comprising:
- determining location information identifying a location of a caller;
- determining a destination for a call from the caller based on the location information and a geographic service area of the destination;
- and
- routing the call to the destination.

- determining location information identifying a location of a caller;
- determining an emergency service dispatcher for a call for emergency services from the caller based on the location information and a geographic service area of the emergency services dispatcher;
- routing the call to a fallback destination if the location information cannot be determined or if there is no emergency services dispatcher that has a geographic service area that includes the location of the caller;
- and
- routing the call to the emergency services dispatcher over an emergency services IP network if the location information can be determined and there is an emergency services dispatcher that has a geographic service area that includes the location of the caller.
