Abstract
A ventilation assembly includes a main housing comprising a first housing wall and a second housing wall, a fan assembly disposed within the main housing, the fan assembly including a fan, and an acoustic device disposed between said first and second housing walls, the acoustic device having a first distal portion, a second distal portion and an intermediate portion extending between the first distal portion and the second distal portion, the first distal portion being relatively wider than the intermediate portion.
Claims25
A ventilation assembly, comprising:
- a main housing comprising a first housing wall and a second housing wall;
- a fan assembly disposed within the main housing, the fan assembly including a fan;
- and
- an acoustic device disposed between said first and second housing walls, the acoustic device having a first distal portion, a second distal portion and an intermediate portion extending between the first distal portion and the second distal portion, the first distal portion being relatively wider than the intermediate portion.
A bathroom ventilation fan assembly comprising:
- a main housing comprising a first housing wall, a second housing wall, a third housing wall and a fourth housing wall, wherein
- the first, second, third and fourth housing walls define a main housing intake,
- the first and second housing walls define a first corner, and
- the second and third housing walls define a second corner;
- a fan assembly disposed within the main housing, the fan assembly including a fan configured to generate a flow of air through the main housing intake;
- and
- an acoustic device capable of transmitting sound during operation of the fan assembly, the acoustic device comprising an acoustic device housing, a first diaphragm disposed in the acoustic device housing and a second diaphragm disposed in the acoustic device housing, the acoustic device being situated within the main housing such that the first diaphragm is substantially within the first corner and the second diaphragm is substantially within the second corner.
