Abstract
A system for generating, transmitting, providing and/or receiving service signaling.
Claims12
A method for decoding a service list table in a bitstream comprising:
- (a) receiving a service list table element identifying a root element of said service list table;
- (b) receiving east one service element of said service list table indicating service information;
- (c) receiving a service sequence number attribute associated with a corresponding one of said at least one service element indicating said service information,
- (d) receiving at least one other service element of said service list table including at least one of (i) a protected attribute, (ii) a major channel no attribute, and (iii) a minor channel no attribute;
- and
- (e) decoding said bitstream based upon said service list table.

A method for transmitting a service list table in a bitstream comprising:
- (a) encoding a service list table element identifying a root element of said service list table;
- (b) encoding at least one service element of said service list table indicating service information;
- (c) encoding a service sequence number attribute associated with a corresponding one of said at least one service element indicating said service information,
- (d) encoding at least one other service element of said service list table including at least one of (i) a protected attribute, (ii) a major channel no attribute, and (iii) a minor channel no attribute;
- and
- (e) transmitting said bitstream based upon said service list table.
