Claims20
A bale wrapping device for a round baler, comprising:
- a drive roll which can be brought into engagement with a wrapping material roll;
- and
- a drive and brake device connected to the drive roll;
- wherein the drive and brake device is in connection both with a variably tensionable drive belt and with a variably tensionable brake belt.

A round baler having a bale wrapping device, comprising:
- a drive roll which can be brought into engagement with a wrapping material roll;
- and
- a drive and brake device connected to the drive roll;
- wherein the drive and brake device is in connection both with a variably tensionable drive belt and with a variably tensionable brake belt.
1 more element
A method for operating a round baler with a bale wrapping device, comprising:
- operating a drive and brake device with a first brake torque on a part of a brake belt during a wrapping material introduction phase in which a wrapping material is supplied to a baling chamber of a round baler;
- operating the drive and brake device with a second brake torque on the part of the brake belt during a wrapping material wrapping phase in which the wrapping material is wrapped around the round bale in the baling chamber;
- and
- operating the drive and brake device with a third brake torque on the part of the brake belt during a wrapping material severing phase in which the wrapping material wrapped around the round bale is severed from a wrapping material roll by a cutting device.
