## Abstract

Methods, systems comprising one or more computer systems including a combination of hardware and software, and computer program products store, in a database associated with a user account, an inventory of computer applications resident on a first mobile device. An indication is received from the first mobile device that one or more of the computer applications resident on the first mobile device are to be resident on the second mobile device. An identifier corresponding to the user account is received from the second mobile device. The method, system, and computer program product determine, based on the capabilities of the second mobile device, which of the computer applications included in the inventory are compatible with the second mobile device, and, after receiving, from the second mobile device, the identifier corresponding to the user account, transmit, to the second mobile device, the computer applications included in the inventory that were determined to be compatible with the second mobile device.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A system comprising one or more computer systems including a combination of hardware and software to:
store, in a database associated with a user account, an inventory of computer applications resident on a first mobile device;
receive an indication from the first mobile device that one or more of the computer applications resident on the first mobile device are to be resident on the second mobile device;
receive, from the second mobile device, an identifier corresponding to the user account;
determine, based on the capabilities of the second mobile device, which of the computer applications included in the inventory are compatible with the second mobile device; and
after receiving, from the second mobile device, the identifier corresponding to the user account, transmit, to the second mobile device, the computer applications included in the inventory that were determined to be compatible with the second mobile device.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more computer systems work in conjunction with a download-assistance tool at the second mobile device to assist with transmitting, to the second mobile device, of program data for the computer applications included in the inventory that were determined to be compatible with the second mobile device.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein if the one or more computer systems determine that a computer application included in the inventory is incompatible with the second mobile device, the one or more computer systems transmit to the second mobile device a version of the incompatible computer application that is compatible with the second mobile device.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more computer systems communicate wirelessly with the first and second mobile devices over a mobile network.

### Claim 5

A computer program product, tangibly embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium, the computer program product comprising instructions to be executed by at least one computer system to:
store, in a database associated with a user account, an inventory of computer applications resident on a first mobile device;
receive an indication from the first mobile device that one or more of the computer applications resident on the first mobile device are to be resident on the second mobile device;
receive, from the second mobile device, an identifier corresponding to the user account;
determine, based on the capabilities of the second mobile device, which of the computer applications included in the inventory are compatible with the second mobile device; and
after receiving, from the second mobile device, the identifier corresponding to the user account, transmit, to the second mobile device, the computer applications included in the inventory that were determined to be compatible with the second mobile device.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The computer program product of claim 5, wherein the one or more computer systems work in conjunction with a download-assistance tool at the second mobile device to assist with transmitting, to the second mobile device, of program data for the computer applications included in the inventory that were determined to be compatible with the second mobile device.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The computer program product of claim 5, wherein if the one or more computer systems determine that a computer application included in the inventory is incompatible with the second mobile device, the one or more computer systems transmit to the second mobile device a version of the incompatible computer application that is compatible with the second mobile device.

### Claim 8 (depends on 5)

The computer program product of claim 5, wherein the one or more computer systems communicate wirelessly with the first and second mobile devices over a mobile network.

### Claim 9

A method using one or more computer systems including a combination of hardware and software, the method comprising:
storing, in a database associated with a user account, an inventory of computer applications resident on a first mobile device;
receiving an indication from the first mobile device that one or more of the computer applications resident on the first mobile device are to be resident on the second mobile device;
receiving, from the second mobile device, an identifier corresponding to the user account;
determining, based on the capabilities of the second mobile device, which of the computer applications included in the inventory are compatible with the second mobile device; and
after receiving, from the second mobile device, the identifier corresponding to the user account, transmitting, to the second mobile device, the computer applications included in the inventory that were determined to be compatible with the second mobile device.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, further comprising the one or more computer systems working in conjunction with a download-assistance tool at the second mobile device to assist with transmitting, to the second mobile device, of program data for the computer applications included in the inventory that were determined to be compatible with the second mobile device.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein if the one or more computer systems determine that a computer application included in the inventory is incompatible with the second mobile device, the method further comprises the one or more computer systems transmitting to the second mobile device a version of the incompatible computer application that is compatible with the second mobile device.

### Claim 12 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein the one or more computer systems communicate wirelessly with the first and second mobile devices over a mobile network.
