## Abstract

Subject-matter of the invention is a modular distribution head for a membrane housing body including a front side, a pipe connection to the membrane housing body, a gasket to seal the membrane housing body which is placed in the pipe connection, at least two flow openings in the distribution head through which the liquid can flow in and out of the distribution head and the membrane housing body whilst the flow opening is e.g. a liquid inlet, a permeate outlet or a concentrate outlet. The use of the distribution head or plant as per the invention leads to a considerable reduction in space required. In addition to less required space, a further advantage of the distribution heads as per the invention is that the connector pieces and the hydraulic connections are no longer necessary since the distribution heads are directly connected to each other and less collector pipes are needed in a plant.

## Claims

### Claim 1

Modular distribution head (1) for a membrane housing body (2) including
at least two flow openings (3) in the distribution head (1) through which the liquid can flow in and out of the distribution head (1) and the membrane housing body (2),
a front side (4), which forms one side of the distribution head (1),
a pipe connection in the distribution head (1) for the membrane housing body (2), which is used to seal the membrane housing body (2), and which has to be located on the front side (4) of the opposite side (6) of the distribution head (1),
a gasket (7) to seal the membrane housing body (2), which is placed in the pipe connection, characterised by the fact
that the distribution head (1) has on the inside at least a collector space (11) to collect the liquid and
the flow openings (3, 9,10) of the distribution head are arranged vertically to front side (4).

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

Distribution head (1) as per patent claim 1, characterised by fact that the distribution head is (1) cuboid, cubic or cylindrical.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

Distribution head (1) as per claim 2, characterised by the fact that the distribution head (1) has at least a cavity (12) to hold a closing tensile element (13) whilst the cavity (12) is located parallel to the front panel (4).

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

Distribution head (1) as per patent claim 3, characterised by the fact, that the distribution head (1) has a compression plate (14), which is arranged vertically to the front side (4) and has openings (15) to hold the closing tensile elements (13) which are arranged congruently to the cavities (12).

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

Distribution head (1) according to claim 1, characterised by the fact, that the flow openings (3, 9,10) each have a coupler (8) which is integrated into the distribution head (1) or that a connecting piece (17) is connected to the flow openings (3, 9, 10).

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

Distribution head (1) according to claim 1, characterised by the fact that the flow openings (3) are a liquid inlet (3) (feed), a permeate outlet (9) and/or concentrate outlet (10).

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

Distribution head (1) according to claim 1, characterised by the fact, that the distribution head has a diffuser (18) which is located in the pipe connection.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

Distribution head (1) according to claim 1, characterised by the fact, that the distribution head (1) has a flow reducer (19) to regulate the flow rate, preferably a flow reducer ring.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

Distribution head (1) according to claim 1, characterised by the fact, that the distribution head (1) has recesses (20) which are vertical to the front side (4) and in which axial tensile elements (21) of the membrane housing body (2) are arranged.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

Plant with at least one membrane housing body (2), at least one membrane element (22) in each membrane housing body and at least one distribution head (1) as per claim 1.
