## Abstract

The present invention provides an egg-laying rate-improving agent for egg-laying hens, quails, or broiler breeders, the egg-laying rate-improving agent being characterized by comprising unheated cashew nut shell liquid, heated cashew nut shell liquid, anacardic acid, cardanol, and/or cardol.

## Claims

### Claim at position 1

1-8. (canceled)

### Claim 9

A method of increasing an egg-laying rate, the method comprising feeding egg-laying hens, quails, or broiler breeders with a feed comprising at least one component selected from the group consisting of unheated cashew nut shell liquid, heated cashew nut shell liquid, anacardic acid, cardanol, and cardol.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, comprising feeding the egg-laying hens, wherein the egg-laying hens are subjected to forced molting or induced molting.

### Claim 11

A method for egg production, the method comprising feeding egg-laying hens, quails, or broiler breeders with a feed comprising at least one component selected from the group consisting of unheated cashew nut shell liquid, heated cashew nut shell liquid, anacardic acid, cardanol, and cardol.

### Claim at position 5

12 and 13. (canceled)

### Claim 14 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein a number of dead hens per week during an egg-laying phase is less than 0.1% of a number of introduced young hens.

### Claim 15 (depends on 10)

The method of claim 10, wherein a death rate during the molting is not more than 2%.

### Claim 16 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein the egg-laying rate is maintained at 90% for 90 days or longer.

### Claim 17 (depends on 9)

The method of claim 9, wherein a layer performance is enhanced by increasing or maintaining the quality of eggs.

### Claim 18 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, wherein a number of dead hens per week during an egg-laying phase is less than 0.1% of a number of introduced young hens.

### Claim 19 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, comprising feeding the egg-laying hens, wherein the egg-laying hens are subjected to forced molting or induced molting.

### Claim 20 (depends on 19)

The method of claim 19, wherein a death rate during the molting is not more than 2%.

### Claim 21 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, wherein the egg-laying rate is maintained at 90% for 90 days or longer.

### Claim 22 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, wherein a layer performance is enhanced by increasing or maintaining the quality of eggs.
