## Abstract

A dental restoration, a method for the production of a dental restoration and a kit. The dental restoration comprises an outer component, in particular a shell, and an inner component, in particular a core. The inner component and the outer component contain composite material. The outer component is mountable or mounted on the inner component. The inner component is designed for attachment onto a tooth preparation, in particular a tooth stump.

## Claims

### Claim at position 1

1-15. (canceled)

### Claim 16

A dental restoration comprising an outer component and an inner component,
wherein said inner component and said outer component both contain a composite material,
said outer component is mountable or mounted on said inner component, and
said inner component is designed for attachment onto a tooth preparation.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The dental restoration according to claim 16, wherein said inner component has a lower translucency than said outer component and/or the translucency difference between said inner component and said outer component lies in the range from 5 to 15%.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

The dental restoration according to claim 17, wherein the translucency of said outer component lies in the range from 25 to 40% and/or the translucency of said inner component lies in the range from 10 to 28%.

### Claim 19 (depends on 16)

The dental restoration according to claim 16, wherein said inner component and said outer component are glued together, at least in some regions, in such a way that a cohesive bond is formed.

### Claim 20 (depends on 16)

A method for production of a dental restoration (1) according to claim 16, comprising the steps:
providing CAD/CAM data for a tooth preparation;
producing an outer component from a first composite block or from a first region of a composite block comprising at least two regions and producing an inner component from a second composite block or from a second region of the composite block comprising at least two regions; and
designing said inner component for attachment onto a tooth preparation.

### Claim 21 (depends on 20)

The method according to claim 20, comprising the step of mounting said outer component on said inner component.

### Claim 22 (depends on 20)

The method according to claim 20, wherein said tooth preparation is a tooth stump for the production of an individualized restoration.

### Claim 23 (depends on 20)

The method according to claim 20, wherein a translucency of at least some region of said second composite block or of said second region of said composite block is lower than a translucency of said first composite block or of said first region of said composite block and/or a translucency difference of said first and said second composite block or of said first region and said second region of said composite block lies in the range from 5 to 15%.

### Claim 24 (depends on 23)

The method according to claim 23, wherein the translucency of said first composite block or of said first region of said composite block lies in the range from 25 to 40% and/or the translucency of said second composite block or said second region of said composite block lies in the range from 10 to 28%.

### Claim 25 (depends on 20)

The method according to claim 20, wherein said inner component and said outer component or said first region and said second region of said composite block are glued together, at least in some regions, in such a way in such a way that a cohesive bond is formed.

### Claim 26

A kit for production of dental restorations comprising an outer component and an inner component having:
several first composite blocks for the production of outer components,
wherein translucencies of said first composite blocks are different, with the translucencies of said first composite blocks lying in the range from 25 to 40%, and several second composite blocks for the production of inner components, translucencies of said second composite blocks are different, with the translucencies of said second composite blocks lying in the range from 10 to 28%, or
several composite blocks having a first region for the production of outer components and a second region for production of inner components,
wherein translucencies of said first regions are different and/or the translucencies of said second regions are different, with the translucencies of said first regions lying in the range from 25 to 40%, and/or the translucencies of said second regions lying in the range from 10 to 28%.

### Claim 27 (depends on 26)

The kit according to claim 26, wherein the kit comprises directions for use.

### Claim 28

A composite block having at least one first region for the production of an outer component and a second region for the production of an inner component and a dental restoration,
wherein said first region and said second region consist of a composite material.

### Claim 29 (depends on 28)

The composite block according to claim 28, wherein a translucency of said first region and a translucency of said second region are different and/or at least some regions of said first region have a lower translucency than said second region.

### Claim 30 (depends on 29)

The composite block according to claim 29, wherein the translucency difference lies in the range from 5 to 15%.

### Claim 31 (depends on 29)

The composite block according to claim 29, wherein the translucency of said second region lies in the range from 10 to 28 and/or the translucency of said first regions lies in the range from 25 to 40%.

### Claim 32 (depends on 28)

The composite block according to claim 28, wherein a contact region of said first region for contacting with said second region in a contact region between said first region and said second region is an inside taper.

### Claim 33 (depends on 28)

The composite block according to claim 28, wherein said first region and said second region are glued together, at least in some regions, in such a way that a cohesive bond is formed.
