Abstract
A control apparatus includes a signal acquirer configured to acquire first pair signals for a focus detection from a first area on an image sensor, and second pair signals for a focus detection from a second area on an AF sensor, and a calculator configured to calculate a defocus amount using the first pair signals or the second pair signals based on the first area on the image sensor and the second area on the AF sensor.
Claims15
A control apparatus comprising:
- a signal acquirer configured to acquire first pair signals for a focus detection from a first area on an image sensor, and second pair signals for a focus detection from a second area on an AF sensor;
- and
- a calculator configured to calculate a defocus amount using the first pair signals or the second pair signals based on the first area on the image sensor and the second area on the AF sensor.
An image capturing apparatus comprising:
- an image sensor configured to photoelectrically convert an optical image formed by an image capturing optical system, to output an image signal, and to output first pair signals for a focus detection corresponding to light fluxes that have passed different pupil areas in the image capturing optical system;
- an AF sensor configured to output second pair signals for a focus detection;
- a signal acquirer configured to acquire the first pair signals from a first area on an image sensor, and the second pair signals from a second area on an AF sensor;
- and
- a calculator configured to calculate a defocus amount using the first pair signals or the second pair signals based on the first area on the image sensor and the second area on the AF sensor.
A control method comprising the steps of:
- acquiring first pair signals for a focus detection from a first area on an image sensor, and second pair signals for a focus detection from a second area on an AF sensor;
- and
- calculating a defocus amount using the first pair signals or the second pair signals based on the first area on the image sensor and the second area on the AF sensor.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for storing a program that enables a computer to execute a control method,
- wherein the control method includes the steps of:
- acquiring first pair signals for a focus detection from a first area on an image sensor, and second pair signals for a focus detection from a second area on an AF sensor;
- and
- calculating a defocus amount using the first pair signals or the second pair signals based on the first area on the image sensor and the second area on the AF sensor.
