Abstract
A flexible display device may include a substrate and a display unit provided over the substrate. The substrate may include: a first base layer, a second base layer provided over the first base layer, and a first barrier layer provided between the first and second base layers. A face of the first base layer is larger than a face of the second base layer and is parallel to the face of the second base layer.

A flexible display device comprising:
- a substrate;
- and
- a display unit provided over the substrate,
- wherein the substrate comprises:
- a first base layer;
- a second base layer provided over the first base layer;
- and
- a first barrier layer provided between the first and second base layers, and
- wherein a face of the first base layer is larger than a face of the second base layer and is parallel to the face of the second base layer.

A method of manufacturing a flexible display device, the method comprising:
- preparing a mother substrate;
- forming a first base layer over the mother substrate using a first nozzle;
- and
- forming a second base layer over the first base layer using a second nozzle,
- wherein a face of the second base layer is smaller than a face of the first base layer and is parallel to the face of the first base layer.
