Aircraft Monument Floor Mounting System

An apparatus for mounting an aircraft monument partition to a track mounted to cabin surface of an aircraft, the apparatus comprising:

• a securement apparatus for securing the partition to the cabin surface, comprising
• a threaded fastener for extending through a mounting aperture of the partition and through a corresponding opening in a track mounted to the cabin surface,
• a head member for applying rotational force to the threaded fastener,
• a bridging washer for mating with the mounting aperture, and
• a threaded sleeve comprising a head member;
• and
• a tool for adjusting the securement apparatus, comprising
• a first end having a matching profile to the head member of the threaded sleeve,
• an extension having a width and length configured to fit within an internal sleeve mated to the threaded sleeve, wherein the internal sleeve is fixed to the partition, and
• a head member connected to the extension opposite the first end, wherein the head member is configured to allow for rotation of the threaded sleeve of the securement apparatus.

A method for securing a monument partition to a cabin surface of an aircraft, the method comprising:

• providing a monument mounting system including
• a mounting structure fitted within an edge of the monument partition abutting the cabin surface, the mounting structure comprising a mounting opening in the monument partition, and
• a securement apparatus comprising
• a threaded fastener for extending through the mounting opening and through a corresponding opening in a track mounted to the cabin surface,
• a bridging washer for mating with the mounting opening, and
• a head member connected to the threaded fastener;
• providing the threaded fastener through the bridging washer and through the mounting opening of the mounting structure;
• and
• threading the threaded fastener to a mating fixture on a bottom side of the track by rotating the head connected to the threaded fastener, wherein, upon threading the threaded fastener,
• the bridging washer is pressed against the mounting opening, and
• the head member is secured to an upper side of the bridging washer via the threaded fastener to fixedly retain the partition to the track;
• loosening the head member from being secured against the upper side of the bridging washer;
• sliding the securement apparatus along a horizontal axis of the track;
• and
• retightening the threaded fastener via the head member.
