Abstract
Hydrazone compounds and pharmaceutical compositions including same are disclosed as having antifungal activity. Such compounds are useful for treating or preventing fungal conditions in a subject in need thereof by administering same.

An antifungal composition comprising a compound according to formula (I):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein each R is independently H or a lower alkyl, wherein each R1 is independently an amidino or an aryl, and wherein the linker comprises at least one aryl.
A method for treating a fungal condition, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound according to formula (I):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein each R is independently H or a lower alkyl, wherein each R1 is independently an amidino or an aryl, and wherein the linker comprises at least one aryl.
