Camera control apparatus

A camera control apparatus comprising:

• an interface receiving first image data generated by a first camera performing image capturing, second image data generated by a second camera performing image capturing, positional information relating to a current position, the positional information being output by a position sensor, and azimuth information being output by a compass, and transmitting a drive signal to a first actuator capable of changing an image capturing direction of the first camera and to a second actuator capable of changing an image capturing direction of the second camera;
• a geographic information database retaining landmark information relating to positions of landmarks;
• and
• a controller identifying one of the landmarks which is positioned within a predetermined range relative to the current position based on the positional information, the azimuth information, and the landmark information acquired from the geographic information database, and outputting the drive signal driving at least one of the first actuator and the second actuator so that a position of the identified landmark is contained in at least one of an image capturing region of the first camera and an image capturing region of the second camera.
