Abstract
The present invention proposes a method for transmitting a broadcast signal. The method for transmitting a broadcast signal according to the present invention proposes a system which can support a next generation broadcast service in an environment supporting a next generation hybrid broadcast which uses a terrestrial broadcast network and an internet network. Furthermore, the present invention proposes an efficient signaling method which can cover both the terrestrial broadcast network and the internet network in the environment supporting the next generation hybrid broadcast.

1-14. (canceled)
A method for transmitting a broadcast signal, comprising:
- generating audio data of a broadcast service, first signaling information signaling the broadcast service and second signaling information including bootstrap information for locating the first signaling information;
- generating an audio frame containing the audio data and metadata for the broadcast service;
- generating a ROUTE (Real time Object delivery over Unidirectional Transport) packet containing at least one of the audio frame and the first signaling information;
- processing the ROUTE packet and the second signaling information to generate IP (Internet Protocol) packets;
- processing the IP packets to generate link layer packets;
- transmitting the link layer packets.
An apparatus for transmitting a broadcast signal, comprising:
- a first generation unit configured to generate audio data of a broadcast service, first signaling information signaling the broadcast service and second signaling information including bootstrap information for locating the first signaling information;
- a second generation unit configured to generate an audio frame containing the audio data and metadata for the broadcast service;
- a third generation unit configured to generate a ROUTE (Real time Object delivery over Unidirectional Transport) packet containing at least one of the audio frame and the first signaling information;
- a fourth generation unit configured to process the ROUTE packet and the second signaling information to generate IP (Internet Protocol) packets;
- a fifth generation unit configured to process the IP packets to generate link layer packets;
- a transmission unit configured to transmit the link layer packets.
