Method and system for suppressing a parasite signal received by a satellite payload

A method of suppressing a parasite signal received with a useful signal by an array of elementary antennas of a payload of a satellite, comprising steps of:

• analog formation of analog beams from elementary signals supplied by said array of elementary antennas by an analog beam forming network, the analog formation step comprising:
• forming at least one useful analog beam in which a gain of the array of elementary antennas in a direction of arrival of the useful signal is higher than a gain in a direction of arrival of the parasite signal;
• and
• forming at least one auxiliary analog beam in which the gain of the array of elementary antennas in the direction of arrival of the parasite signal is higher than the gain in the direction of arrival of the useful signal;
• and
• digital formation of a digital beam by combining digital signals obtained by digitization of said at least one auxiliary analog beam and said at least one useful analog beam using weighting coefficients determined in order to suppress the parasite signal in said digital beam.
