Abstract
The present invention provides novel triazatruxene derivatives that are useful as hole transport materials (HTM), particularly, in optoelectronic devices. The utility of the novel compounds was confirmed in solid-state, sensitized solar cells based on organic-inorganic perovskites used as light harvesters. The devices achieved high power conversion efficiencies.

A compound comprising the structure of formulae (I) below:
- wherein R1 is selected from substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, and aryl,
- and wherein R2-R5, are selected independently from H, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, and substituents of formula (II), (III) and (IV) below,
- wherein A is selected from O, S, Se, or another electron donor moiety, and R1, R2, and R3, in as far as present, are independently selected from alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl;
- wherein any one of said alkyl, alkenyl, and alkynyl may be linear, branched or cyclic.
